Today our church received the contractor bids for the church building we have been trying to build for many years. The general contractor assured us that this is the best bids he can offer even though it's $300,000. more than he projected and that we can afford.

We (Liberty Community Church) are a small congregation of God's people who wish to have a place that we can call home, yet local government regulations as well as changes in building codes cost us years and have clouded our path to our home. Are the days when a small congregation that without wealthy and well connected believers can even build a church? There are churches that spend fortunes on stained glass, million dollar video production studios, entertainment rooms for the youth and more. Yet, it's not easy for others to build even a small, no frills place to worship.

Since the Village of Lindenhurst insists that we have an elevator, a smoke detector ventilation system and $90,000. worth of landscaping to get our permit, we need to make some tough decisions. I pray that we can find a solution prior to me having to sell a kidney on eBay.

If you wish to check out our church's web site I made, it's http://www.findliberty.org

Please pray for Liberty Community Church.

God bless,
Dennis
