The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls. (a memoir) Currently @ 2/3 through the book.

I'm trying to decide whether or not I like this book. The story is compelling, but the style with which it's presented is almost entirely dispassionate, with a slight tinge of bafflement--or something. I'm having a hard time connecting with the author, I guess.

I graduated with my BA in English from San Diego State University in May, and was honored as Outstanding Student of the Year. How cool is that! :)

Now I've been accepted at University of Riverside's Palm Desert campus for grad studies. I'm getting a Master's in Creative Writing, and will finish my memoir--and possibly two other books, depending on my energy and brain cells.
