Music is the blood of life
so very strong yet smooth
sometimes hard and sometimes soft
but always in a mood
It has the power to bring you back
or send you screeching forth
The candles burn still steadily
until the world feels warmth
Dripping beatz and screaming singers
that search just for the sign
the song that will become the one
the melody from time
Today's technology with a zillion friends
when in reality you have but two
The world iz hurtling no matter what
You think that you can do
Vote for a president or paint a canvas
It cannot change the course
It's all been written, you understand
but yet cannot remorse
The music it is calming too
and sometimes brings you strength
What matters are the words and feeling
the plot it's own defense
So now the world illuminated
is so beyond your reach
Try to guard your very castle
It's something I beseech
Play your guitar through the storms
and sing your song quite loud
For in the end the trumpets sound
and there shall be no crowd.
